Energy usage
The new system uses high efficiency T5 lights equipped with photosensors to automatically adjust output to natural daylight. Each workstation also has hand-held, pizoelectric (wireless and battery-less) controls that allow for further adjustments to local lighting needs. This combination of high-efficiency lighting and advanced controls represents significant energy savings over the previous “always-on” T8 system. |

Green purchasing policy
Whether it be the 100% post-consumer recycled paper we use for our business cards or printing paper, or the complementary fair-trade chocolates and organic drinks provided for our staff in our lunch room, we carefully choose the products we purchase on the basis of the most sustainable choices available to us. |

Our web host
Our website is hosted by EcoHosting, a Quebec company that supports the Wind Power project by the Pembina Institute. EcoHosting also provides support to eligible organizations involved in the social sector by offering services at discounted rates and by diverting 25% of its hosting revenues back to communities and the charitable sector. |
 |
Waste management
We have implemented a waste management system that goes above and beyond the services offered in our building. We also compost organic waste generated in our lunch room. |
 |
Corporate giving
At the end of 2009, Dunsky contributed $10,000 to 9 charitable organisations above and beyond the contributions made by its employees. These organisations work locally and worldwide for a more just and environmentally sustainable future. |

Carbon footprint
Even though we are always looking for new ways to reduce our carbon footprint, our activities still generate greenhouse gases. Every year, we purchase carbon offsets (Gold Standard, certified by PlanetAir) to compensate for 100% of our emissions. These offsets help to finance CO2 reduction projects in North America and overseas. |
